Ally Sheedy

Alexandra Elizabeth Sheedy, born on June 13, 1962, in the US, is an actor. After her debut on film with the 1983 film Bad Boys she became known for her role in the Brat Pack of actors. She was also in WarGames (1983) The Breakfast Club (1985) and Short Circuit (1986). In recognition of her role in Lisa Cholodenko's High Art (1998) Sheedy was awarded the Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Leading Actress. Ally Sheedy is an American actor and author. She began her career in film beginning in the early 1980s, with the film based on a crime drama Bad Boys, for which she earned a lot of praise. The film was starring Rick Rosenthal as well as Sean Penn and Esai Morales Clancy Brown & Alan Ruck. The film's first big success was the catalyst for her to be a part of The Breakfast Club, a comedy-drama in 1985. John Hughes' film is widely regarded as one of the greatest high school films ever made. Even though the budget for this film was only $1 million, the film has grossed more than $50 millions. In the meantime, she was also appearing in various TV shows such as CBS Schoolbreak which was her television debut. It was a show specifically for teens that began airing in April of 1980. The other shows she appeared in include Chicago Story Big City Samuels and the Kid and Hill Street Blues. Recent appearances include Little Sister, a film that follows a super-hero, in which Sheedy plays an appearance in a minor role. Sheedy for her amazing performances has been awarded numerous times, including an MTV Movie Award for Silver Bucket of Excellence Award in the year 2005.
