April Lockhart

April Lockhart was born on July 4, 1995. When she was in the seventh grade, she started playing the guitar as well as taking piano lessons, sparking her interest in writing songs. April Lockhart wrote her first song, Different at the age 12 years old. As April approached 14 years old, she dedicated an enormous amount of time developing song ideas and perfecting the music. Then she began to take excursions to write with her father in NY and LA. April started to incorporate various other topics relevant to the song, which she called the Take my Hand song for some friends, such as peer-pressure problems and suicides among teenagers. Lockhart is an influencer in the beauty and lifestyle industry with an ever-growing following. She is a partner with the popular brand Ilia in partnership, in addition to being a lifestyle expert. Born without a left hand, the woman is an important part of her. But it's not the only thing she has to tell. Lockhart's profile on Instagram doesn't hide her disability but doesn't just focus on it. What is the message? It's important to keep in mind that everyone has many faces, our identities vary and we're much greater than the bodies we wear. Lockhart, via video message from Nashville home, states that I do not want that to be a part of myself. I am far more than just my physical self. And it doesn't affect my everyday life. I go about everything normally and I've found the best way for me to adapt things. It's a big part of my life, therefore it's important that we talk about the subject. The journey of self-acceptance that Lockhart has taken is one that can last for a long time, and she has been a source of inspiration for this purpose. Lockhart admits to having been through phases in her life in her body, and felt uncomfortable in certain situations wearing clothes that showed the arms of her. Nowadays, she dresses whatever she wants and posts images of her outfits to social networks with a sense of pride. The self-love she talks about is a process. It's hard to say if you'll ever reach the point of no return. However, that is common for anyone with doubts. It's my opinion that having those with you who are aware of you and know your heart is really important since they'll be those who remind you What are you worried about?
